of the hotel industry

Thierry Guiraudios, Vice-President, IT Systems

Thierry Guiraudios, Vice-President, IT Systems

At age 43, Thierry Guiraudios is much more than just the Vice-President, IT Systems at Louvre Hotels Group. He is quite simply an inventor of tomorrow's innovations and the group's memory. But to start from the beginning: after completing his studies in the hotel industry, he realised that his true passion was… IT. So his first job naturally took him to an IT services company… which specialised in hospitality. And Thierry Guiraudios found his calling. In 1991, he computerised the Martinez Hotel in Cannes. 19 years later, having climbed to the highest levels in the group, he has today become the group's "chief IT specialist". "I've stayed loyal to my company because there are always so many interesting projects", he declares. Projects that have enabled him to give free rein to his creativity. Particularly for developing this original idea: interoperability of all hotel applications, from reservations to management to scheduling the maid service. Mission accomplished: today, 650 hotels are connected to a centralised software program. As one more indication of the group's dynamic approach, Louvre Hotels Group was also the first group to develop an application for smartphones that guests can use to make reservations and even check in. "You have to look at our profession in an innovative way and break out of the conventional mould," says Thierry Guiraudios, who cannot imagine ever abandoning his PC in search of new ideas.
At any rate only for his motorbike, his other great love, about which he is just as passionate!
