Marie-Pierre Mottin, Vice-President, Marketing & Business Development

Marie-Pierre Mottin readily sees her role in the Executive Committee as the "devil's advocate". Appointed Vice-President of Marketing for the group two years ago, her career for the previous 20 years had been that of a communications and marketing consultant. Surprisingly, in this field she encountered all sectors of the economy…. except the hotel industry! Besides her energy and friendly communication style, Pierre-Frédéric Roulot was convinced most of all by the fresh, original perspective she brings to marketing in the hotel industry. Because of her insistence, and equally her ability to listen, she has succeeded in dismantling precedents and instilling the team with her enthusiasm. "I am sympathetic to this group, which is continuously developing new projects. That leaves little time for routine in our work", Marie-Pierre Mottin confides. Indeed, there are plenty of files on the table: for redefining products, repositioning brands, overhauling the customer loyalty programme, improving knowledge of customers, redesigning websites etc. This work is well advanced; there was no need to step up the pace. On 1 January 2010, Marie-Pierre Mottin took over as Vice-President, Business Development, which includes all business, distribution and revenue management activities. Her primary task is to ensure that departments communicate among themselves more effectively. A new challenge, in which she fully intends to deploy her creative talents to the full!
