Once again this year, Louvre Hotels Group, the world’s 5th largest hotel group and specialist of food service, is more involved than ever with the “Virades de l’Espoir” held Sunday, September 24 at the Jardin d’Acclimatation in Paris.

Once again this year, Louvre Hotels Group, the world’s 5th largest hotel group and specialist of food service, is more involved than ever with the “Virades de l’Espoir” held Sunday, September 24 at the Jardin d’Acclimatation in Paris. Organised by Vaincre la Mucoviscidose, an association fighting cystic fibrosis, this annual charity event is held to create public awareness of this invisible illness and raise money to help fund research through a run, a hike and a convivial stand.

LOUVRE HOTELS GROUP BOOSTS ITS COMMITMENT IN THE RACE FOR DONATIONS

Louvre Hotels Group has actively supported this event since 2014, making use of its know-how and helping the association raise funds for research through a convivial stand open to the public and participants, by selling crepes & waffles, hotdogs, French fries, gelato… and drinks. Louvre Hotels Group will also distribute all the meals for volunteers during the event.

For this 30th edition, the Louvre Hotels Group is also getting its employees directly involved: volunteers from their head office will be participating to the organisation of this day.

LES VIRADES DE l’ESPOIR: DONATIONS THAT DRIVE RESEARCH!

Since the “Virades de l’Espoir” event was created, and thanks to donations from partners such as Louvre Hotels Group, the Vaincre la Mucoviscidose association has actively contributed to major advances for patients and their families.

Thanks to donations for research, life expectancy for patients is about 50 years today, while it was only 7 years in 1965. This is a significant advance in the fight against the illness, with nearly one out of every two patients reaching adulthood.
